  • Wind Sports Fiji operates during the windy trade months: we open in April and wind up late November. December through March we don't offer Wind Sports programs specifically, as the weather patterns are less stable and there is a significant chance of cyclones that bring heavy rains for days. Reach out to us for specific season dates.

  • The Fiji Trade winds are usually 20-25 knots and come from SE / ESE. On lighter days in between weather systems offer a couple days off for recovery and world class snorkeling/diving in Bleigh Waters - while the next high pressure comes over the Pacific. Generally, in-season weather is very reliable and we we are set up here for the wind! :)

  • Rest maybe :)
Just having a rest day is always welcome - remember we can cover between 50-120km of riding during our downwinders on windy days, so it is very common to rejoice at a rest day - snorkel the amazing reefs just off our beach / sea kayak round the island / go for a walk or simply snooze in a hammock! :)

  • Yes - we cater to most levels, and specialise on getting you started and making sure you don't waste time and only learn the best techniques - life is too short to struggle! :)

  • Yes, we offer gear rental for wing foiling, kitesurfing and windsurfing. We have a variety of gear covering all levels and wind conditions, so please email us your request at the time of booking.
Please note, gear rental is only availble for our guests.

  • To rent gear we require a demonstration of competency. A one hour lesson focusing on any particular skill you wish to improve on will provide that opportunity.

  • You simply have to arrive at Nadi airport :) We organise return transfers for you that include a 2-3h taxi ride to our wharf (depending on traffic) and 15-30min boat ride over to the island (depending on weather).

  • Normal tropical safety precautions - sun protection / rash vests / hats / sunglasses / reef booties… plus a great sense of humour recommended :)
We require all our guests to purchase travel insurance that covers water sports.
Please remember to pack any medication you take or know you may need - the closest small-town pharmacy is a boat ride and 20min taxi ride away.

  • Beachfront Bures are our most popular options with en-suite bathrooms, one or two bedrooms (queen beds + singles for other family members or friends to share).

Private rooms up the hill offer a cheaper alternate with shared bathrooms.

Dorm rooms for singles can be fun and a great way to kite / foil and stay up all night chatting about the day’s fun :)

  • Of course! If you plan to travel on specific dates, and want us to hold the spot for you - we need to have a confirmed booking.
We also require your airline reservations details to confirm your transfer - it is a 6h return journey for our driver, so we don’t like to get dates or arrival times mixed up :)

While we always try to accommodate last minute requests, the peak season dates do get booked out, and your choice of room may not be availble.
