a typical day in our windy haven
Wake up with the stunning sunrise right out your front window and enjoy a morning stretch before a day of action.
Expect coffee/tea around 7.30am, followed by breakfast around 8.00am.
During breakfast, you have a ‘skippers meeting’ where you look at the wind and tides for the day.
Usually, you’ll be out on the water for your first session between 9.30-10.30am, depending on the wind and tide.
The trip is yours to customise. You and your group can choose to stay on the water anywhere from 2-5h at a time! There are always snacks and drinks on the safety boat for anyone needing a break while you are out there.
Once you get back, a delicious lunch is ready for you and you can relax in the hammocks to recover for the afternoon.
Depending on what time you get back from the morning riding, you can get back on the water anytime between 2-4pm for an afternoon session when you can foil or kite while watching a magical sunset.
The day finishes with a tasty and well earned supper around 7pm with a debrief of the day’s adventures and cold drinks / beers if you choose to indulge.
Food
We provide daily breakfast, lunch, dinner at our communal table, with tea / coffee, fruit & snacks availble all day.
Meals are mostly vegan/vegetarian with a focus on healthy seasonal whole foods plus locally caught fish.
As we are in a somewhat remote location, please let us know of your dietary requirements at the time of booking - we will do our best to accommodate your request but we do need time to plan for it. If you use a special food or supplements, it is best to bring it along with you, as it may not be available in Fiji.
Communal Vibes
Our camp has a community feel with daily debriefs and shared meals in the large communal area. There is plenty of room to spread out with three dining areas. You can also choose to have your meals in your bure or up at your lodge if you are looking for more of a quiet time.
Inside of the shared living room you will find maps of the local area, a book swap, some retro wind sports gear and a screen+projector setup! There is a large chill out area under the lush coconut trees that frame the beach front with hammocks, perfect for relaxing with a book and a coconut!
Being family run and also the home of owners Warren and Masha, you will also get a great insight into their life off-the-grid on the island and the backyard projects that they get up to in this slice of paradise.
